The Indalo Symbol

The Indalo is a Bronze Age magical symbol found in the cave of “Los Letreros” in Velez Blanco, Almeria. It has been a custom over many years to paint the symbol of the Indalo on the front of houses and buildings to protect from evil. The symbol dates back to 2500BC.

Legend has it that the Indalo was a ghost or god that could carry the rainbow over his head. The Indalo has been adopted as the official symbol in the province of Almeria in Spain. It is used as a lucky charm but is only beneficial if it is presented as a gift.
